Recent shots from a wedding in the South of England. Color calibration has not been implemented fully on these yet so some do exhibit a slight greenish cast. All shots were taken in raw and then developed in Adobe lightroom.

Istanbul is an ancient city that contains some truly stunning architecture. Over the years, the influences of Christianity, Islam and the Ottoman empire have helped sculped the city into a unique place. The pictures here show the Blue Mosque - so named because of the Izmir blue tiles used in the construction of its roof, The Haghia Sophia - one time church, one time mosque and Haydarpasa train station. At this train station, which sits on the Asian side of the Bosporous, you can catch trains to Baghdad.

In the financial heartland of the city of London, you find a number of interesting buildings. The Lloyds building and the Swiss Re - The Gherkin - are practically side by side. I am still undecided as to whether the Lloyds building is beautiful or plain ugly. I suppose this is the genius of the design.

Its been a long time since I posted but have been busy on orders etc. I have decided on a new pricing structure for prints available on my site at www.picturesforwalls.com. Instead of only offering prints, I have refocused the shopping cart so that only 7×5 and 11×8 inch prints are available unmatted. Everything else is matted. It will be interesting to see what effect this will have on sales but I feel I would prefer to send matted prints as the customer then has a finished product that only needs framing. We shall see….
7 x 5 inch prints are now $13USD and 11 x 8 inch prints are now $40 USD. I think these prices allow people to get an idea of the quality of the products I am offering without investing too much. The idea is that once people have ordered these products, they will be more inclined to order matted prints in larger sizes.

Until I arrived in Lucca, I had no idea to expect. The walled city is beautiful and I only wished I could have stayed longer. I trekked up to the top of one of Lucca’s many towers and shot this picture.

Christopher Wren designed the magnificent St Paul’s Cathedral which was completed on his 76th birthday in 1708. The famous dome was the third design submitted by Wren and is an example of late renaissance style architecture. If it were not for the great fire of London in 1666, Wren my not have had his chance to design one of Britain’s greatest buildings.
Interestingly, many famous people have memorials inside St. Paul’s. Henry Moore is one such artist. I took this shot of one of Moore’s pieces in a sculpture park somewhere near the M1 in about 2003. The park has a number of fascinating sculpures by Moore and others.

People often ask me what works when selling online. Having been doing this since 2002, I can offer a little bit of advice based on my experiences. To begin with, my typical customer is an American female, usually between the ages of 30 and 50. A typical order is for a 16 x 12 or 30 x 20 inch print. Over the years, these prints have sold the most.
1. Hong Kong from the peak

2. Singapore boat quay

3. Giant’s Causeway, Co Antrim.

4. Relaxation - Part Nude

5. Botafogo - Rio De Janeiro

The cable car at Sugar Loaf Mountain, Rio De Janeiro is in two parts. Urca is the first stop on the trip up. The route bends slightly to the left before the main climb to the top of sugar loaf.

Not my usual type of image but there was something about this shot that I really loved. I think this was taken in around 2004. Light was really magical and on rare occasions sometimes black and white photography doesn’t do justice to the scene before you. This was one of those times.
