The footage and firkin is an old picture house on Oxford Rd, Manchester. Today, it is a student pub but it still retains many charming features from another time, both inside and out.

Shot this close to home. The Beetham Tower is Manchester’s tallest building.  The photograph shows the Beetham Tower’s reflection in a Bridgewater canal towpath puddle.

Just uploaded 45 images in my Manchester gallery. The shots include the Central Library where Fredriech Engels studied, the controversial Beetham Tower. People seem to love or hate this modern building. I’m still a little undecided. A similarly controversial Manchester landmark is Thomas Heatherwick’s B of the Bang. I happen to think this is a work of genius but it was never really deemed safe as bits kept falling off and so Manchester council are no in the process of dismantling it.

I also include a number of shots from Manchester University. A place where I studied. Jabez Clegg is a nightclub most Manchester students have been to at some point.  I have much more to post on Manchester but this will do for now.
