Place De La Concorde, Paris in Black and White

12 12 2008

From above the Arc De Triomphe, you get a great view of Paris. The etoile – meaning star – is so called because of the layout of the roads into this monument. This shot was taken with 70-200mm 2.8 SIgma lens looking 4km down the Champs Elysees towards the Place De La Concorde. In the distance, you can see the Louvre.

Using the Sigma Dp1, I set the camera fully manual. That is focus as well. The thing with the underground is the people who ride it.

Up early in the morning, I wandered across to the Eiffel Tower – arguably the most famous of all Parisien landmarks. The place was fairly deserted when I shot this.

Apple Macbook Air Music from the advert in the UK

17 02 2008

This song is just fantastic. Been running in the UK for a number of weeks for Apple’s new Macbook Air. The laptop is so slim it fits inside an internal mail bag.Turns out the author of this song goes by the name of Yael Naim. I know this is a bit random but the song is just so catchy.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YUxbDEPFiM]
