Barbados is a beautiful paradise island at the bottom of the Caribbean archipelago. Calm waters of the Caribbean Sea lap the West of the island in contrast to Atlantic Ocean ravaged East. Codrington College can be found towards the East coast. A place that is still used to train ministers, its setting could not be more idyllic.
Codrington College. This theological college stands on the Eastern side of the Caribbean Island. This photograph was taken in 2009.
Founded by Christopher Codrington, this beautiful building is an Anglican Theological College.
Parliament Building, Bridgetown. Independence arrived in 1966.
Bathsheba Beach , Barbados. This beach is located on the Eastern Atlantic Ocean side of this small Caribbean Island.
Across the road from the windswept beach, this little church provides shelter from Atlantic storms.
Codrington College. This College is actually still in use today. Its origins can be traced back to the early 18th Century.

On the East Coast of the island lies the magnificent Bathsheba Beach. Accessed by a winding mountain road, the Beach is littered with large rocks.
Fountain in Bridgetown. The capital is a laid back Caribbean town.
Garrison Savannah , Barbados. Every Sunday horses race on this famous racecourse.
Shop at Bathsheba. Look closely at the photograph and you can see the shop keeper taking an afternoon siesta.
Chattel House. Many of the houses in Barbados are Chattel Houses. The idea behind one of these houses is that they can be moved when necessary.

Codrington College. This Anglican College was founded in 1711 by Christopher Codrington and is still in use today.
Fort at Needham Point. Once upon a time, Needham Point was a fort. Today, the Fort has been replaced by a Hilton Hotel.
Barbados is located in the West Indies as is one of the most Southern Caribbean islands.
Parliament. Independence from British rule happened in 1966. This black and white photograph shows the Parliament buildings.
