Thursday 1st of August- Deansgatetunnel. More in the manchester gallery. Deansgate Tunnel looking up at the Beetham Tower, Manchester. This tunnel is part of the Bridgewater Canal which helped first link Manchester to the outside world. In later years, rail was to replace barges as the main way of transporting goods in and out of the city.
